About Bill

I was cristened William Redfield Stocking IV.  CMC* was substituted for the IV a few years ago and I shortened the middle name to "R." a long time ago.  Please, just call me Bill.  I grew up "normal", (whatever that means), and went on from there.

Additional Background

I am a Director and the "Manager of User Experience" for our Chicago website design co-op http://www.websiterevamp.org which leaves me little time for much else.  I am an associate of the Northbrook Consulting Group, Inc., a technology consulting organization and I have my own consulting business, First Business Systems, Ltd. which does consulting to management on Internet issues.  Since 1989. I've been helping organizations of all sizes find cost-effective and efficient ways of managing information.

I graduated from the University of Minnesota in Psychology, with a minor in Art.  Additional professional experience includes being the IT manager of a distributing business for eight years and I spent eleven years as President of a manufacturers representative agency.  Some of that was concurrent.

I live in Chicago with wife Mia, daughter Lauren Holly and hampster Ricky.
